What Laser Skin Tightening Treatments are Available at Javan?
Technology is rapidly changing the way we treat wrinkles, age spots, acne scars, collagen loss, pigmentation, and overall signs of aging in the skin. Lasers are proven to be effective as a non-invasive treatment for a number of different skin concerns. Javan carries the finest laser systems that are revolutionary and FDA approved, and employs certified and trained professionals to deliver the best results to patients with a wide range of skin concerns. We use the GentleMax Pro and eTwo systems by Syneron Candela, which can deliver an effective result even for those who have used Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) previously.

GentleMax Pro
Our GentleMax Pro delivers gentle laser energy into your tissue, with no damage to the surface of the skin, creating a healing response. That healing response stimulates collagen production, causing your skin to tighten. Recovery time can vary with each treatment, particularly because the intensity of laser can be adjusted per patient depending on a number of different factors.
The GentleMax Pro can also be used to treat pigmented lesions, acne scars, rosacea or excessive redness, and broken blood vessels/capillaries, particularly on the cheeks, nose and chin. Pigmented lesions are spots on the skin’s surface, such as sunspots, freckles, and birthmarks. These are treated by delivering laser energy that ruptures the forms of discoloration and the destroyed structures are removed from our skin, resulting in clearer, healthier skin. More than one treatment may be required depending on the depth and severity of the pigmented lesion that each person experiences. Similarly, acne scars, rosacea, and other visible skin issues can be treated with the same technology.

eTwo Sublime and Sublative Treatments
Javan’s eTwo treatment is FDA approved, and utilizes revolutionary technology designed to help turn back time. It is designed as a key treatment to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, age spots, and scars while simultaneously tightening the skin - which is why it is an anti-aging essential treatment! The eTwo Complete Facial Rejuvenation system is an alternative to laser-based ablative fractional skin resurfacing treatments, which are often painful and typically require several days of healing/downtime. The eTwo procedure combines two unique applications, the Sublime and the Sublative, to produce facial rejuvenation and reveal smoother, more youthful looking skin. Downtown ranges from a minimum of two to three hours and maximum of a day or two.
The Sublime treatment uses the combination of light energy and radiofrequency energy to deeply heat layers of the skin while protecting the surface of the skin simultaneously to firm skin as well as tighten lax skin. Medium to deep heating of the skin activates fibroblasts (deep skin cells) signaling new collagen to form and existing collagen to tighten.
The Sublative treatment uses radio-frequency energy to deliver an effective fractional and tightening treatment to reduce fine lines, wrinkles, pores and acne scarring. Each pulse delivers the energy via a grid of matrix spots on the surface as well as just under the surface. Fibroblasts (skin cells that produce collagen) are activated within the treated zones signal collagen to regenerate and remodel, yielding improved skin tone and texture. The surrounding tissue of the untreated areas support and accelerate the healing process of the skin.
The Sublime treatment is usually comfortable, whereas the sublative treatment can give some discomfort and requires a topical anesthetic, which helps numb the area. Expected side effects are redness and swelling after the procedure that lasts from hours to days, and occasionally even up to a week (very unusual). It is common for small scabs covering about 5% of the treated areas to appear, but they are usually easy to cover with makeup.
The benefits include smoother and brighter skin, improved appearance of large pores, scars, finer and less deep wrinkles. In addition, lax skin will be tighter as well as firmer. Typically results become noticeable over a period of three to six months but some patients have seen results immediately after treatment.
